We are so excited to announce that our CSA is open for share holder sign-up.
We have completed our materials and have been distributing them around the community.
If you are interested in learning more about our CSA for 2009/10 please check out our CSA link with an outline of what we have to offer.
This model provides us all with the opportunity to connect with each other and our food. We are excited to be 'your farmer'.
As for the farm. Josh just moved the grain burner into a new space so we can have more space in the greenhouse for plants. We started the grain burner last night and hope everything up and running and to have trays planted by Friday.
And - as luck would have it, with all of the snow this winter we have had some major damage to one of the greenhouses. Luckily the greenhouse is built in parts so we only need to replace some pieces and not the whole thing.
Enjoy the day!
Welcome to Taproot!
Happy viewing and please provide feedback - it helps us grow

CSA
I have just returned from the Great Lakes CSA 2008 conference. It was very interesting and empowering. I have decided without a doupt that I will be offering a CSA from Taproot this year starting in January.
The challenge now is getting all of the details sorted out and materials organized for the recruitment process.
I'll keep you posted.

End of Season #1
With -3 degree temperatures last night we are at the end of our first harvest year. It was been a wonderful year of learning and growing. We are looking forward to planning for next season. We have lots of corn mache and spinach growing now for a winter harvest. This will be a new experiment for us.
Thank you so much for all of the support this year!
