On the farm today

Hello All - The sun is shining and there are a million things to do. It is exciting around here.

Calvin and Gerald have fixed the tunnel that was damaged by the snow. Yesterday they planted rows of radish and beet greens. Today soil has been cultivated outside and Calvin has put in 3 rows of beans and a couple of peas. Nicole is in the greenhouse planing more onions. The kale and swiss chard that have been growing in the greenhouse are ready to be transplanted outside this afternoon.

Earlier today Ron spread crab meal over the whole farm. It will get worked in hopefully in the next few days.

This afternoon Pauline and Gerry will be over to help sort out a design for the farm market stand and something for the chickens.

As I type this note - I look out the window and see the little tractor coming with compost to spread, Josh's truck parked on the road, he must be talking with someone, and Gerald with the wheelbarrow pulling up black plastic from last years planting.

See you soon!
