In the weeks immediately ahead a decidedly pro-development municipal council in Kings County is set to rezone close to 600 acres of agricultural land for residential, commercial and/or industrial uses. This municipal council has been described by external reviewers as dysfunctional and lacking in ability to plan for either the short or long term benefit of Kings County. These councillors continue to push their individual agendas having dismissed the CAO and "let" key planners "go" in response to the external review.
